A sitting room really only has one job: to be somewhere people actually want to sit.

No television, no constant traffic, no real agenda. Just a comfortable place to read, have a conversation, or sit for five minutes before someone inevitably needs you for something.

This room started with the soft blue cherry blossom wallpaper, which does most of the heavy lifting. From there, I kept everything else fairly quiet—pale blue upholstery, warm white, marble, brass, and natural wood.
