I love the idea of doing something a little more interesting in a powder room.
Since it's typically a smaller space, it's the perfect place to use a beautiful wallpaper or a few details you might not necessarily choose for a larger room. For this one, I went with a classic blue floral wallpaper, creamy white wainscoting, and warm brass accents. It's a little dramatic, but still feels timeless and traditional.
The wallpaper really makes this room.
The wallpaper really makes this room. I love the rich blue background and intricate floral pattern, and I've linked a similar Morris & Co. Honeysuckle wallpaper from DecoratorsBest to get the look. Pairing a statement wallpaper with white picture frame molding on the lower walls keeps the room from feeling too busy, while the dark walnut floors add a little warmth.
For the vanity, I love a furniture-style piece in a powder room. I've linked the Caitlin 48-inch Single Bathroom Vanity from Wayfair as a similar option, with its creamy white finish, turned legs, and classic detailing. The warm brass faucet is another detail I love, and I've linked the Delta Saylor faucet from Lowe's for a similar look. Above the vanity, I've linked the Hollyn gold-framed mirror from Home Depot as a beautiful alternative with that same traditional feel.
Lighting is another detail that can make a small bathroom feel really special.
I love the combination of a statement ceiling fixture and simple brass wall sconces. I've linked the Chance three-light fixture from Wayfair and the Elena brass sconces from Amazon as similar options. The warm metallic finishes look especially pretty against the blue wallpaper.
And to finish things off, a simple arrangement of green hydrangeas is really all this room needs. I've linked a similar artificial hydrangea arrangement from Amazon for an easy way to bring in a little color without adding clutter.
powder rooms are such a fun opportunity to try something different.
This one has plenty of personality, but the traditional finishes and classic blue-and-white palette make it feel like a space that will still look beautiful years from now.
